📍 The park side of the railing rather than the sidewalk — the lawn gives you room to back away from the card, and Le Carrousel is a minute west along the 40th Street path if you want rings in the frame.

About this place
The body is seventeen inches across, 3.37 miles out. The rings would span three and a half feet — wider than your arms — which is the fact that never quite survives being told and has to be seen.

An hour and a quarter north on foot, up Fifth or straight through the park. This is the natural place to stop for the day and come back for Uranus and Neptune, and there is no shame in it — the last two legs are two thirds of the whole walk.
