Stop on this walk
Saturn
Peoples Energy Welcome Pavilion, Navy Pier

📍 Stand in front of the pavilion on the park side, where the path opens onto the lawn and the wheel and the clock tower line up ahead of you. This is the last stop with reliable food, restrooms and indoor shelter — the remaining two are parkland.

About this place
1.68 miles out and 8.54 inches across. The rings would span about twenty inches here — wider than both your hands together, and the reason Saturn looks bigger than Jupiter even though it is not.
While you're here
- Navy Pier Food Food hall, restrooms and the Centennial Wheel, a few minutes east along the pier.
- Chicago Lakefront Trail Green space Picks up just north of the pier and runs uninterrupted to the last two stops. Divvy docks at both ends.

Stay on the bike. The Lakefront Trail runs north from the pier with no road crossings worth the name — Uranus is another mile and a half, inland into Lincoln Park.
