About this place
Paul Manship's 1948 memorial to the Pennsylvania aviators killed in the First World War: a gilded celestial globe worked over with zodiac constellations. It is the second globe on this walk and the only stop that was already an astronomical object before you got here. Jupiter is the largest thing you will see all day — bigger than every other planet on the walk put together.
