About this place
Half an inch across and 1,411 feet out — a quarter mile from the sundial, and the end of the easy part. Everything from here is a different kind of walk.

This is where the walk changes. The asteroid belt is the better part of a mile with nothing in it — head north on the Lakefront Trail into Grant Park and aim for the big fountain, which you will see long before you reach it. Worth walking rather than riding: the emptiness is the point of this leg.
